Excellence Awards Program
The Excellence Awards Program recognizes exceptional contributions that advance the Department of Medicine’s core missions—Clinical Care, Education, and Research—and celebrates the essential work of staff who support these efforts.
Each Division identifies up to one awardee per category (Clinical, Education, Research, and Staff). Division awardees serve as nominees for Department-wide consideration. Central Office areas that are not part of a Division may submit nominations for the Staff Excellence Award.
Eligibility and Nomination Framework
- Nominations reflect achievements from the most recently completed academic year (July 1–June 30).
- Nominees must have at least one year of service within the Department of Medicine.
- Divisions establish their own selection process and committee.
- Divisions may opt out of submitting a nomination in a given category.
- Submissions include a brief justification describing the nominee’s impact and contributions.
