Developing the Leaders of Tomorrow Today

LDP participants are capable of rising to and succeeding at a more senior, critical role—whose potential can be measured by their personal aspiration, functional ability, and engagement.

The program aims to give participants an overview of our organization while also exposing them to the individuals leading our Department and School. High-potential employees will have the opportunity to learn about the culture of leadership in the Department of Medicine, practice new lenses to approach their own career trajectory, and apply tangible methods for how to take the next step.

Testimonials

I really enjoyed listening and learning about all the different managers/leaders from DOM and how they got to where they are now and still growing and learning.

I would recommend LDP to others as it is a good learning experience and can help others understand more about leadership in DOM.”

– Jessica Chen, LDP 2023

“I learned that not every path to leadership is the same and that current leaders have experienced many identical issues that I'm currently facing. Knowing that I'm not alone, and the insight provided by these professional leaders has been extremely valuable.

I would highly recommend this program to anyone that has the want and motivation to be a better leader in life and there professional career.”

– Bobby Esquivel, LDP 2023

“I enjoyed listening to each of the presenters and especially about their life journeys and career paths. How their career path was different from where they started, but being open to new opportunities brought them where they are now.

I feel like I learned something new about myself during the course of LDP.

– Shumaila Waheed, LDP 2023

“I have heard so many amazing things about the program and I wanted to join the others that have been through the LDP. I believe that it is important for my growth as a lead in my department.

110% I would recommend this program to others.”
