Two Stanford Teams Named as
Finalists for Clinical Research Awards

David Maron, MD, and Shuchi Anand, MD

Every year, the Clinical Research Forum selects its Top 10 Clinical Research Achievement Awards, and for 2021, two Stanford teams were named as finalists.

The Clinical Research Forum, a nonprofit organization dedicated to leadership in the “national clinical and translational research enterprise,” chose its finalists as “among the very best of a large and competitive field of submitted articles,” highlighting the selection as “a high honor and a remarkable accomplishment.”

Stanford teams were nominated by Dean Lloyd Minor.  Final decisions about the Top 10 will be determined in late January.

The two Stanford teams:

·“Ischemia Trial,” led by David Maron, MD, C.f. Rehnborg professor of medicine and Director of Preventive Cardiology, and Judith Hochman of NYU

·“Prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in a large nationwide sample of patients on dialysis in the USA: a cross-sectional study,” led by Shuchi Anand, MD, assistant professor of nephrology
