Interim Parking Changes

Beginning November 18, Interim Parking Changes will affect physicians, patients and SHC staff until a permanent plan is finalized in early 2020.  What that means for physicians is as follows:

  • Faculty and house staff with A or C  parking permits will continue to park in your usual Stanford University lots (Roth, Stockfarm, etc.). The 500 Pasteur Staff Garage is not a Stanford University garage and is not covered by A, C or Z permits.
  • Off-site clinical faculty whose primary office is off-site will need to get a new parking hang tag to continue to park in the 500 Pasteur Staff Garage.  Use the following link to request badge access to the 500 Pasteur Staff Garage: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/a86242de46054133a71445424379404c
  • Community physicians should continue to park in the Pasteur Visitor Garage, via badge access.  Use the following link to confirm or request badge access to Pasteur Visitor Garage: http://bit.ly/2PWtLmQ
  • Emergency on-call clinical faculty and house staff with a response time of 30 minutes or less and are coming from home or off-site to an emergency may park at the Emergency Department Valet at 300P (900 Quarry Road Extension) or the Adult and Trauma Emergency Department at 500P (1199 Welch Road). You will be required to badge in and badge out when using the complementary valet service.
  • Parking will be strictly enforced Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 am and 4:00 pm, and those parking in unauthorized lots or garages will be subject to parking violations.  After hours (i.e. between 4:00 pm and 6:00 am and on weekends), physicians and hospital staff are free to park in any lot or garage.

For more details about how to apply for hang tags, etc., see https://shcconnect.stanfordmed.org/shcnews/Pages/500P-Interim-Parking-Changes-for-SHC-Staff-Take-Effect-Nov.-18.aspx.

Additional info:

  • The Pasteur Visitor Garage (PVG) is for patients and visitors only. Beginning Monday, November 18, 2019, parking will be strictly enforced Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6am and 4pm. Your cooperation is critical as patients and visitors are increasingly finding it difficult to park in this garage and are missing their appointments.  Any staff who park at PVG between 6am and 4pm Monday through Friday will be subject to parking violations.
  • The Pasteur Staff Garage (PSG) will serve as an interim parking location in November, December, January, and February for SHC employees who do not have a University parking permit and for the remaining 500P contractors who are not permitted in University parking lots. The price for parking in PSG will be a flat, daily fee of $8. Prior to arrival, please use the Passport Parking mobile app to purchase your daily permit. You will need to pre-pay your parking on the app, download the ticket on your mobile phone, and scan the ticket upon entry to the garage.  (www.passportparking.com)
