Faculty Forum on Clinical Research

Are you a faculty member interested in clinical research? The Department of Medicine is hosting a faculty forum next Monday, March 5th from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the Clark Center, Room S360.

A panel of DOM faculty including Mark Genovese, MD, Professor of Immunology & Rheumatology, Latha Palaniappan, MD, MS, Professor of Primary Care and Population Health, Michaela Liedtke, MD, associate professor of hematology, Angela Rogers, MD, assistant professor of pulmonary medicine and critical care, and Nigam Shah, MBBS, PhD, associate professor of biomedical informatics research, will discuss the challenges and common pitfalls of getting started with clinical research, as well as how to overcome the challenges.

The discussion will be moderated by Andrew Hoffman, MD, Senior Vice Chair of Academic Affairs and professor of endocrinology, and Ken Mahaffey, MD, Vice Chair Clinical Research and professor of cardiovascular medicine. There will also be time to network before and after the panel event.
