Internal Medicine Residency Research Symposium Set for April 30

The second annual Internal Medicine Residency Research Symposium will take place Tuesday, April 30 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Hospital Atrium.  The symposium is a “celebration of the research efforts of the house staff with mentorship from DOM faculty in numerous divisions” including cardiology, GI, internal medicine, hospital medicine, primary care and population health, oncology, pulmonary and critical care, rheumatology, and infectious diseases.

Last year’s symposium was a great success, highlighting important research projects as well as the collaborations among residents and their research mentors, and this year’s symposium is will be another “chance to celebrate both the hard work of the house staff, but also the investment of time and energy of faculty who serve as research mentors.”

More than 40 research projects will be presented as posters.  We're looking for interested junior faculty and senior research fellows to assist with judging the posters for small travel awards. Please contact Angela Rogers (ajrogers@stanford.edu) if you're interested in participating as a poster judge.
