In uncertain times, the importance of teaching becomes even more evident--the future (and the present) depend on our medical professionals. And this makes the Department of Medicine's 2021 Teaching Awards all the more wonderful. The awards, presented to one or more extraordinary teachers from each division within the department, recognize our extraordinary educators and all the work, joy, time, and energy they put into helping shape the next generation of medical professionals.

The 2021 awards will be presented at a ceremony in November by Robert A. Harrington, MD, Arthur L. Bloomfield Professor of Medicine and Chair of the department, and Abraham Verghese, MD, MACP, Linda R. Meier and Joan F. Lane Provostial Professor, and Vice Chair for the Theory & Practice of Medicine.  Awardees are to be congratulated and awarded for "all their efforts and contributions to clinical education in the Department of Medicine!"
