2020 Fellowship Program Chat Set for October 30

On October 30, the Department of Medicine will host a virtual chat (broadcasted on Zoom) to discuss the fellowship programs.  The chat is designed to acquaint potential Stanford DOM fellows with the ins and outs of the department, as well as its commitment to diversity and inclusion.  The chat will take place at this link on October 30 from 2-3 p.m. Pacific time, 5-6 p.m. EST.

The chat provides an opportunity for potential fellows to, as Chair of the Department of Medicine and Arthur L. Bloomfield Professor of Medicine Robert Harrington, MD, puts it, “learn about the breadth and depth of our departmental culture, our passion for training and our deep commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion,” as well as “our mission to recruit and support applicants in the best ways we can.” Potential applicants are invited to come with questions or simply sit and watch.

Harrington will lead the chat.  He will be joined by Abraham Verghese, MD, FACP, Linda R. Meier and Joan F. Lane Provostial Professor of Medicine and Vice Chair of Education, Stanford program leadership, and several Stanford fellows.
