Med-SNAP Program
The Department of Medicine (DoM) is excited to sponsor an initial pilot of the Stanford Network for Advancement and Promotion (SNAP) program, which is a program originally started by Dr. Odette Harris in partnership with the Office of Faculty Development and Diversity.
Participants in each cohort of the Stanford Network for Advancement and Promotion (SNAP) program work closely together to enhance leadership skills and build a community of support that they can rely upon as they grow and advance within the Stanford community. SNAP focuses on low-structure, high-impact discussion sessions in which participants discuss common challenges they face in the realm of academic medicine—such as advancement, workplace dynamics, and negotiation—and field effective strategies from fellow group members under the guidance of an experienced facilitator.
The Med-SNAP program (as we in the DoM affectionally call it) will begin in Fall 2024 with 2 cohorts, each consisting of 8-10 participants:
Cohorts will meet monthly starting Sept/Oct 2024, for a total of eight two-hour sessions through May 2025, with a break over the summer months.
Applications are now closed.
