On Tuesday, June 12th, 2018, the Internal Medicine residency will host its first annual IM Residency Research Symposium. The symposium is an evening event in LKSC Berg Hall from 5:30- 7 p.m.

The division calls the event  "a celebration of the research efforts of the house staff with mentorship from DOM faculty in numerous divisions, including cardiology, endocrinology, GI, internal medicine, hospital medicine, primary care and population health, nephrology, oncology, pulmonary and critical care, rheumatology, and infectious diseases."

50 research projects will be presented as posters.

The division is also actively looking for interested junior faculty and senior research fellows to assist with judging the posters for small travel awards.

The symposium is looked forward to as "a chance to highlight the amazing efforts of our house staff, and also to recognize the mentors who put in so much time mentoring them."
