Fun in the Sun at All-Staff BBQ

Members of the Stanford Department of Medicine gathered on the Dean’s Lawn on June 5 for the All-Staff Meeting and BBQ, an annual celebration filled with fun and meaningful discussion on the latest initiatives, accomplishments and future plans for the division. The event kicked off with a presentation by Linda Nguyen, MD, clinical associate professor of gastroenterology and hepatology, on the “Brain-Gut Connection” and breakthroughs happening at Stanford Medicine’s Digestive Health Center.

Attendees then feasted on traditional summer fare, including BBQ chicken, grilled hot dogs, fresh watermelon and burgers complete with all the fixings. Post-lunch, faculty and staff took to the lawn for games galore under the sun, practicing their swing at the mock driving range, strategizing at life size chess and competing at cornhole.

A big thank you to all who attended. Be sure to check out the Flickr album for a glimpse of the action!
