Center for Clinical Investigation

The Center offers an easily accessible single contact point for investigators and research staff to facilitate the clinical research process from inception to closing.

Mission

The Center for Clinical Investigation is designed to assist the divisions of the Department of Medicine with the development, implementation, and conduct of research studies.

Services Provided

  1. Introduction to Stanford research for new PIs and coordinators
  2. Assistance with research grant submissions
  3. Office space for research assistants, study coordinators and research nurses
  4. Exam room for non-invasive patient encounters and phlebotomy procedures
  5. Private room for consenting and administering surveys/questionnaires
  6. Assistance with initiation of projects (study design, INDs, budget)
  7. Guidance with initiation and conduct of clinical trials
  8. Mentoring for research coordinators
  9. Assistance with IRB and GCRC submissions
  10. Fax, printer, CareCast, locked filing cabinets
  11. Statistical support (data analysis)
  12. Work area for monitor visits
  13. Information about navigating the Stanford system
  14. Link with SPCTRM (School of Medicine) and The Cancer Center
